The Power Of This Platform

The Power of This Platform

WordPress is a powerful platform to share our various messages on. The reach is global, our communities diverse and our voices are heard.

It is in the knowledge of this that I humbly ask you to share the information I am about to post with your readership.

My brother-in-law, international journalist Omoyele Sowore of Sahara Reporters, along with fellow journalists, Olawale Bakare and Agba Jalingo, are being illegally held and physically abused in their native Nigeria for exercising their Freedom of Speech in that “democratic” nation. All three men face charges of high treason, which, in Nigeria, is punishable by death.

Their crime? Calling for mass protests against the rampant corruption, abuse, lawlessness and dictatorial regime of Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari.

Amnesty International has taken up their cause. So have the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and other international bodies against human rights violations. Let us use our platforms to raise our voices against injustice, tyranny, corruption and a blatant disregard for the basic tenets of democratic rule.

How you can help! Share this information. Read their stories. Share the Change.org petition. Write to your Congressman, Senator, the President and demand US intervention in this matter or cut-off relations. Stand up for democracy. If you live in a country outside the USA, raise the matter within your country, write to the United Nations and ask for sanctions against Nigeria and that Nigerian court’s authority be respected by the DSS and government of Buhari. Your voice matters. Raise it.

You have power in your pen. You possess the ability to expand this message and help bring these journalists home to their families before some ‘unfortunate’ accident happens to them while in custody and they become martyrs. Let us stand for justice. Let us raise our voices. Let us help our fellow writers and journalists.

We can bring change. Let the change begin with Y-O-U!

Thank you

DEPARTING DEVILS

What does Satan’s light look like?

Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 New International Version

What does Satan’s light look like?

One way Satan deceives Christians is with the gospel of prosperity.

Oh yes, you become a Christian and God becomes your servant giving you everything you want like a spoiled brat.

Becoming a servant of Christ (where you serve Him, not He serves you) is hard and encompasses a lot of sacrifice.

From my own personal experience and that of others being a Christian means a lot of suffering.

How many so called Christians run away at the first experience of hafting to chose Christ and suffer for it?

Are you ready to lose your friends because you refuse to go out and get drunk on the weekend and have…

The Beautiful Symbols Of Christmas, Do You Know Their Meanings?

Be blessed as we, with grateful hearts, thank Our Father for the only gift that not only has no expiration date or NEVER goes out of style, but promises eternal life and is “new” each time it is given and received as we become new creatures through our rebirth from the gift of salvation. Amen 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

XMas? Don’t Take Christ, Out Of Christmas

As we enter into this Season of Celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth, let us not forget, or allow commercialism to cloud or minimize the reason for this season — which is the gift from God to us of His son Jesus who would usher in the gifts of forgiveness, salvation and reconciliation back to Our Father. He is the reason we celebrate Christmas. He is the symbolism behind the gifts we share with others. Lest I state that before we pass out any materialistic gifts, which expire and are temporary, ensure that the FIRST gift you offer is the Gift of Jesus Christ. For that is a gift, once accepted by free will, has no expiration date and ushers in eternal life to those who follow God’s Word and remain on the path of obedience to His Word. It’s free! It’s priceless! It’s yours for the asking.

”X”-mas can’t save you, but Christ can!

Father God in all things let us not be swept up into the materialism around this time as to take our eyes, thoughts or minds off the true meaning of Christmas. As believers let us increase ur work in sharing The Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeking to save more souls from the penalty of sin. Let us insert Christ into all we say, do and write and teach our young the true reason for this season as we worship and thank you for Jesus, the sinless one who paid—with His life—the penalty for sins we committed, not Him, as our innocent blood sacrifice . God thank you for sending Your son to teach us , reach us, save us and reconcile us back into the fold. Help us daily to sinless, give more, share The Word, be kind, be Loving, to be truthful, and to show our Love to You by following and adhering to Your Word! Anything less crucifies Christ again. In Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name we pray. Amen 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Praying For Your Miracle

Praying For Your Miracle!

Isaiah 65:24 “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”

We often talk about “having faith the size of a mustard seed”, “trusting and believing”, “proclaiming things to be,” when speaking about making our petitions known to God. But what does that look like?

We exist in a realm of the “seen” but we pray to a realm of the “unseen”.  What gives us the confidence to do so?

Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

At the day of salvation we welcomed into our being the free gift of The Holy Spirit. We could not “see” the Spirit “entering” into our flesh, but we felt a “change”, an emotional sensor in our brain recognized a ‘newness’ a disruption to our being.

This indwelling Spirit is the ONLY connection we have to The Almighty God. It is the “voice, ears, and eyes” that allows us to pray with confidence into a realm we cannot ‘see’, except for those who were permitted a glimpse into the Spiritual realm by way of a crossing over spiritually through a death and restoration experience.

God hears, sees, touches and knows you inside and out and the desires of your heart. But as a Loving Father, wants us to exercise our indwelling spirit by having the faith and belief in Him that if we make our petitions known, and it is within His Will for our lives, He is faithful, Loving and kind enough to grant it to us if we are patient and trust Him completely.

First, we humble ourselves before God in our prayer closets and begin to commune with Him. In our heightened spiritual state, we make our requests known to God. We can speak them out internally or using our voice externally. We next must enter into praise and thanksgiving with an unwavering belief that He has answered our prayers, key here—according to God’s Will—and walk in full confidence and act in faith that it is DONE! We do this daily as we patiently await the manifestation of our requests. Never ceasing, unrelenting prayers and thanksgiving!!

1 John 5:14-15~”This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of him.”

Never give up if you believe in God! Recognize that He is ALWAYS working for your good, no matter what Satan may be showing you or having his minions whisper in your ear or demonically-influenced people try to convince you of. If you believe in God, believe that He will answer you. Let your inner Spirit lead you because God speaks to the indwelling. Be blessed in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Don’t Break Covenant With God

The Importance of Being In Covenant With God

There is no greater bond in life than being in Covenant with God. It is our connection to Him and His to us. We receive it freely upon our salvation and reconciliation unto The Father. For those that marry they also enter a marriage Covenant with God making the union between God, the bridegroom and the bride. We also enter into Covenant with God to be guardians over His children that He entrusts into our care to raise them up in full knowledge of The Lord and to show them The Way as we are to both live AND model Christ-like behavior everyday.

A Covenant relationship is one where we enter into a commitment or agreement with another or others. In The Bible when God enters into Covenant with us His promises to us are clear.

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

Deuteronomy 7:9

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

We also adopt and commit to this same pledge towards Him to hold fast to His Word, to never abandon our faith, do trust God and obey His Word and precepts. To honor and give Him honor and praise as He blesses and empowers us, even when He corrects us. All that God does for us or allows to happen is for our good as He burns off the sin that corrupts the soul and refines us for His purpose. You see, God cannot use us when we walk fully in sin. When we choose to do evil towards one another, mistreat or abuse one another, harbor ill-will, lie, cheat, steal, covet, rob, fornicate or commit adultery for all is sin and God rebukes sin and the workers of sin. Sin breaks The Covenant relationship with God in all areas of our lives. It is our sins that Christ died for as the ultimate blood sacrifice and to lay a path of reconciliation for us back into God’s Love!  For us so to continue sinning, after repentance, makes a mockery of that selfless act, breaks Covenant and sets us back on a path to damnation. They crucify Christ again. We cannot claim ignorance to God’s Word, especially those who profess and proclaim it but in their lives parse out what Scripture of The Word they choose to adhere to. Know this…

“And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him”

1 John 2: 3-4

“For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.”

Hebrews 10:26-28

“But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die. “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die.”

Ezekiel 18:24-26

A Covenant with God is the most important bond you will ever have. As I wrote earlier it extends into every aspect of our lives, our marriages, our relationships with our children and how we live.

God is faithful to us. God protects us. God blesses us. God wants us to live a prosperous (this is not monetized) life. God is faithful to us. God corrects us for our good. Most of all, God Loves us. Who would give all this up for selfish gain? For momentary pleasure? To practice idolatry? To disobey God’s Word to suit our own desires? To please others, instead of doing what is right in the sight of The Lord?

My friends…proceed with caution. Evaluate your every action, words and deeds. Stop yourselves before you break Covenant with Our Father.

You need Him everyday. Stay focused. Keep your eyes on the prize of God’s heavenly calling. Amen 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

After Salvation, What Next?

In a previous share we talked about having the assurance of being covered by God through the gift of salvation. Now, what next after salvation?

How do we grow our relationship with Him?

What does it even mean to be in communion or relationship with Him?

“So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.” Acts 17:27

God gave us His only begotten Son so that we would not perish due to our sin nature but have everlasting life in accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In His incredible act of putting the path before us to allow us to be reconciled back to Him, He asks only that we learn of Him, His ways, His commandments, His Love for us as His children, His creation.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

So how do we begin to build a relationship with our Father in Heaven?

Think about it…how did you build a relationship with your husband, your wife, your significant other, your parents, your children, your best friend?  By investing time in them. Talking to them for hours on end on the phone or in-person. Writing love letters, poems, singing to them, playing love songs on the guitar just for them, or sitting silently together holding hands, gazing lovingly into their eyes letting your souls/spirits meld into one flesh joined even in silence.

Oh yes, when we’re “in love” with someone time stands still. We can’t bear to be without them. We fawn over them. We tell them all our secrets, our wants, our desires. We daydream constantly about being with them, seeing them again, sharing the most minute and insignificant details of our day with them and they listen intently and do the same. Why? Because you are in a relationship with them and you love and desire them.

Oh but to channel even 1/10th of that emotion, that desire, that ‘love’ back to the One who created you. The One who saved you from the wages of your sins.  Are you willing to make an eternal investment into the One who knows and loves you best. Your Creator??

“In this is Love, not that we Loved God, but that He Loved us.” 1 John 4:10

Building a personal relationship with God requires so little from us, but the gains are immeasurable. Here are a few of the benefits of being in a relationship with God:

(1) He will never leave nor forsake you; Hebrews 13:5

(2) He always answers your calls and hangs on your every word;

(3) He has already paid off your debts; John 3:16

(4) He understands your mood swings and Loves you still; 1 Corinthians 13

(5) He won’t let you pay for your bill; John 3:16

(6) He laughs at all your jokes; Proverbs 16:24

(7) He comforts you in times of distress; Matthew 11:28-30

(8) He heals and mends your wounded heart/spirit; Psalm 147:3

(9) He opens doors no man can close and closes doors no one can open; Revelation 3:8

(10) He is always on time; Ecclesiastes 3:11

(11) He favors your inner beauty to your outer beauty; Psalm 139:13-16

(12) He will send His angels to protect you;;Psalm 91:11-12

(13) He will give you beauty for ashes; Isaiah 61:3

(14) He is your protector; Psalm 23

(15) He will keep your mind at peace and let you sleep stress-free; Psalm 4:8

(16) He will deal with your enemies and condemn the tongues of those who speak against you;  Isaiah 54:17

(17) He loves you just the way you are; Romans 5:8

(18) He will always think the best of you, hope for you, trust and encourage you; 1 Corinthians 13:7

(19) He emboldens you to achieve; 2 Timothy 1:7

(20) He loves you unconditionally; Ephesians 3:15-19

Who would turn their face from One who offers so much in the face of our little. Who has stored up in Heaven treasures for us beyond measure. A perfect Love. His perfect peace. Unspeakable joy and happiness. Get to know Him. Talk with Him. Start with just a few minutes each day and watch that time grow and grow into the most fulfilling relationship of your lifetime. That applies to both men and women. He hungers for your Love. He is waiting on you. Won’t you call on Him today?

Father God we come to you seeking a deeper, more meaningful relationship with you emanating from a Love that transcends human comprehension. A Love built upon obedience to Your Word. Watered through our trials and tribulations. Maturing through our faith. Touch us. Feed us. Hold us. Nurture us. Speak into us as we draw closer and more in Love with You Father, In The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
