“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ”.
It is very discouraging when those we uplift and pray for continue to walk, talk and behave in the flesh!
They toy with the gift of salvation and the blessings of the release of bondage it conveys, while waffling between obedience and disobedience.
Though salvation extended forgiveness for their sins, they write from a hardened heart seeking vengeance against people. Oft times the very people whom they harmed, who now seek to harm them back. It’s a demonic cycle in which God is not present, and God is not glorified despite the immature Christian milk-drinkers proclaiming that they are ready to feast on meat.
Understand that the basic tenet of our salvation is based on forgiveness and reconciliation. Without that we are naked before God. Jesus’ blood sacrifice—our cloak—that covers our sin and stench from God gone.
The inability to forgive and reconcile, forfeits our ability to take communion because we have hatred or ill feelings towards another.

Hebrews 5:11-14
“Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.”
Holding on to anger, is holding on to sin! God has cautioned us to not let the sun go down on our anger. It is spiritual immaturity in its purest form. Only a person blinded by arrogance, immaturity and having a narcissistic personality would dare toy with God in that manner.

Always approach God with clean hands and a pure heart. Asking God to avenge your perceived wrong is dangerous because the person you pray against may also be praying that same request to God about you! More importantly, it serves only to magnify the fact that you are still a milk drinker for a truly mature Christian would pray “Lord, bless those who curse me, do good to those who hate me and pray for those who spitefully misuse me!”
Learn to love and forgive your “enemies” as The Word commands and how Jesus modeled. Check your own role in the enmity between you and others. No one is completely without fault in the situation. If they write or proclaim as such they are a liar. Never cry victim when you are complicit in the situation.
Very well said.
But there are times when someone intentionally wrongs you because they are narcissists. They have no intention of repenting and the abuse only gets worse if you allow it.
We are forgive them more for ourselves ( so that desiring revenge does not eat us up ) but Jehovah is also a God of justice and we will be avenged by Him. I have seen it a lot and it is terrible to see.

Yes I know this first hand from my former narcissistic spouse who has wronged many people and it cost him personally and professionally. He unfortunately doesn’t get it and he cries out as a victim in his writings when he is complicit in his own sufferings and legal woes. I pray for him because his immaturity in Christ and narcissistic behavior blinds him to God’s Light.
