When two become one in the sight of The Lord, a bond is forged in The Father’s Eyes and Heart and He rejoices. For out of this Union He will bless their lives as a unit. Each is charged to uplift, care for and endure this life together as one. To protect one another, love and care for each other and lift one another up along their joint Christian journey.
The severing of the bond of marriage, comes with consequences for both, not just the one who caused or allowed others to influence their decision to go against The Word of God! Just as Jesus endured until the end, married couples are to do the same (except in cases of physical, emotional or mental abuse. These couples must separate, but, not divorce.). Those who choose divorce because they are adulterous, or friends and family say that they should end their marriage, have not only allowed Satan into their marriage and lives, but have trampled upon God’s blessing and plans for the “one,” putting earthly wants, thoughts, feelings and influencers above God Almighty. To such a man or woman they have not only impacted their walk, but that of their spouse as well.
Stick to your commitments through better or worse, richer or poorer, through sickness and in health. God blesses those who endure until the end. Who uphold His Word and live their lives according to His commandments and scriptures.
It may require that one must withstand outside pressures and negative influencers, but didn’t our role model Jesus Christ? 40 days and 40 nights Satan attempted to tempt Him into sin and to disobey God’s Mission of reconciliation of mankind back to The Father. But we bless Jesus for His endurance until His death on The Cross. We should be able, with the knowledge of His ascension to Glory learn from His lessons to all of us and hold onto God’s Unchanging Hand and not the sin-filled world’s. Think about it!!!!
Remember Jesus before you step outside your marriage, file for divorce, give-in to worldly and familial pressures. For in the end we must answer to God, not family, friends or the world!
