In times of trouble, persecution, trials and despair, trust God. In this focus scripture, King David, who God loved dearly, but he had sinned against God’s Word, seeks His ever-loving Father’s intervention in the trials and calamities he caused himself. As we serve a living God, He did not abandon David as He knew His heart.
Psalms 13:3-4: “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
In this new week, and weeks after, May God Almighty extend His love towards you, and towards every member of your household! May He consider and hear you, and lighten your eyes, lest you sleep the sleep of death; May He never allow your enemies to say, we have prevailed against you; and they that are troubling you may God Almighty never cause them to rejoice over you because you shall not be moved in Jesus Christ. Amen!!!
