What lies within us shines or defines who we are, who we serve and what we hope to be!
Do we truly trust God to know what is best for us and leave our life and times in His Most Loving Hands?!
Or do we, when OUR plans don’t unfold as we cried out to Him to bring them to fruition, fold our arms, pout our lips, frown and grow frustrated and upset with The Master?!
Our faith is tested DAILY. From our idleness to our overeating, to the lack of care of our bodies, to our thoughts, our deeds, our wagging tongues that utter either words of life…or death. To our treatment or mistreatment of our spouses, children, families, friends or those we don’t care for. All represent a test of our faith and obedience to God’s Word and our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.
God’s gift of salvation comes with an expectation that we daily strive to follow His Word. Pray for His Guidance BEFORE we say, do or act against God’s Word and directions. To not backslide because we don’t get OUR way, remembering ALWAYS in both our conscience as well as subconscious mind that TRUSTING God is the CORNERSTONE of our Faith!
Faltering in our faith because things aren’t going our way or as “we” planned is no reason to step afoul of God or His Word, but an opportunity to PASS our Test by “thanking” God for letting His Will, not our own, being manifested in our lives by that rejection, disappointment or failed plan. Knowing, through faith, that God will not withhold from us any good and perfect gift, and that He ONLY works for our benefit even in the most confusing of circumstances.
God’s Word is true. The Scriptures are our guidebook to living a life that is pleasing unto God. Abandoning God’s Word knowingly for our own selfish gains, to please others, or in order to hurt or harm others and then afterwards, seeking forgiveness and repentance for what you knew was wrong BEFORE you said or did the wrong, is dishonoring Jesus’ blood sacrifice, disobedience and playing with God! All are sins in God’s eyes. For to be saved, and know what we do is sin, and to do it anyway, is sin. As recorded in the Book of James ~ “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
Brothers and Sisters, seek first The Lord’s Will, not your own.
Remember, 1 Samuel 15:22 ~ “But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”
Our burnt offerings, prayers, repentance AFTER knowingly sinning, AFTER being warned and having been given scriptures to warn and guide you BUT still persisting to sin and expecting God to go along with and bless you and your sinful acts and all that emanates as a result of the sin makes you a fool! And clearly one who does not truly know or have a relationship with God. For how could a sinless God be associated with your sin???!! He cannot! For that would be against the nature of Jesus and God. What does righteousness have to do with unrighteousness,? Nothing! So, is it, or was it worth the risk of your relationship, your salvation, your life eternal?!!
Follow the Word of God. Obey Him. Let His plans reign in your life, not your own. Do what is right in the sight of The Lord always, even if it means you go against your parents, siblings, spouse, children and friends. For on judgement day you will not stand before these humans to explain how you lived, for they don’t control your fate or life eternal, but you will stand before The Maker of Heaven and Earth and the Creator of All Mankind to give that account of what the Trium Godhead ALREADY knows and has seen both in your heart and actions, what, who or how you chose to do wrong, follow your own path and ignore The Word and Godly counsel.
Think, pray, wait for God’s answer, read The Bible as you await God’s answer/response/voice/illumination in your spirit as to the path you are to take.
I promise, God’s timing is ALWAYS best and worth the wait!
