Are You Moving Or Making Mountains?

Sometimes we ask God to intervene in our lives, to clean up our messes, to toss our sins into the Sea of Forgetfulness, but in the back of our minds doubt Him. Try to fix it on our own creating a mountain of problems, anger, frustration, and issues that previously didn’t exist.

Instead of allowing God to move the mountains in our lives (only if He so chooses) we build new ones creating a vicious cycle of confusion, stress, frustration, depression and problems where none had previously existed.

What is the impetus of it all? A lack of faith and trust in God that He knows what’s best for us, not us! He only requires us to be faithful, trusting, obedient, Loving, and upright in our dealings, treatments and interactions with others.

Father God, we implore you to create in us a clean heart, a right spirit, a Godly mannerism, and a heart to do Your Will and be obedient to Your Word. Let not our sin nature be an ever-present mountain in our lives that when one sin is demolished we replace it with another. Compounding sin upon sin as we construct new mountains in our lives. Move us Father from selfishness to selflessness. From religion to relationship. From wickedness to Godliness. From sinner to saved and help us to shed off daily the old man and replace him with the new creature we are in You! In Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name we pray, Amen 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My husband, Olakunle, who writes the blog “To God Be The Glory — Fellowship of Praise,” and I pray to be a blessing to the men and women of God who read the blogs, and through my witness, and sharing of God’s Word. Amen 🙏🏽
